Ana Navarro doesn’t think Mike Pence has a leg to stand on in the 2024 presidential election. While discussing the former Vice President’s plan to run against Donald Trump in the primaries, The View co-host slammed the one-term VP as a “boot-licking accomplice.”
The conversation was sparked during today’s episode of the hit daytime talk show, where the ladies offered their opinions on Pence and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie‘s forthcoming candidacy announcements.
Alyssa Farah Griffin — who previously worked under Pence — gave her stance on how she believes her former boss should take on Trump.
“It’s interesting. I think that his angle should be, ‘I’m Trump without the baggage or the drama.’ But he’s going to struggle,” she said, before Joy Behar interrupted with, “He can also say, ‘I saved the democracy.'”
Sunny Hostin then chimed in, “He could also say, ‘Trump almost got me hanged, too.’”

However, Navarro was convinced that “none of those things” would win Pence a Republican primary.
“I don’t see the lane for Mike Pence,” she said. “I think people who don’t like Trump — like me — think he’s a boot-licking accomplice for four years who found religion the last day. And people who like Trump, think he’s a traitor who really screwed it up on the last day. So I don’t know who that leaves.”
On the contrary, the co-host believed that Christie may have what it takes to run against the former president.
“He brings a scrappiness. He brings a willingness to take on Trump directly,” she argued. “He knows law, also. I think that’s very interesting because of all the legal woes and indictments that Trump is under.”
Navarro added, “He’s got nothing to lose. He keeps himself relevant. He keeps himself in the news.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
