Note to self: Never bother Ana Navarro about a thank you card. The View co-host dished it right back at Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin during a segment this morning about gift registries when they complained they never received thank you’s after attending Navarro’s nuptials to now-husband Al Cárdenas. 

Navarro, who wed Cárdenas in 2019, told the panel she did not want a gift registry because she was “getting married at 50 and had everything,” but was later convinced by a friend to set one up, after all.

She then thanked Behar, who was sitting beside her, for her “very kind” gift,” but Behar had a cheeky reply: “Oh finally, a thank you note.”

Navarro was left speechless for a moment — which loyal View fans know rarely happens — as Hostin took the chance to chime in, “I didn’t get one, either.”

Navarro replied, “You know something? I knew you were gonna bring that up again,” before pulling out a blank notecard and explaining, “I come prepared.”

With that, she began to draft a message to Behar, one that was apparently four years in the making. Hostin, not wanting to be forgotten, asked, “Do you have two?” and Behar hammed it up, instructing Navarro, “You have to send it to her, too.”

Navarro simply shot back, “Thank you, bitch” then looked back down at her card with a smirk. Sure enough, that was just what she wrote, as she proudly showed off the completed thank you note with the same exact message scrawled inside.

It was all in good fun, though, as Hostin erupted into laughter at the other end of the Hot Topics table. Whoopi Goldberg tried to stay on task as she told the audience about The View‘s upcoming Disney Cruise sweepstakes, but the rest of the panel was still invested in the thank you note debacle.

As Goldberg delivered her obligatory speech about the cruise, Navarro was hard at work editing her note, which she passed off to Behar when she was finally satisfied. As the women shared a laugh at the table, Behar took the card and added an unknown message to it, which she revealed to Hostin before flinging the note back to Navarro, who threw her head back in laughter when she saw its contents.

Much to our disappointment, we never learned what Behar wrote — or what Navarro added — but we can only assume it was more absurd than the now-iconic line, “Thank you, bitch.”
