Another day, another debate about Nikki Haley on The View.

Co-host Sunny Hostin has been continuously outspoken against the Republican candidate, who recently claimed the U.S. has “never been” a racist country and failed to list slavery as the root cause of the Civil War.

Despite Haley’s missteps, both Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines agreed that she would be a better Republican nominee than Former President Donald Trump, who they often refer to as “dangerous” and an “existential threat” to democracy.

“I’m praying that Nikki Haley makes it through,” Griffin said. “Because you know what? A Nikki Haley vs. Biden — even if she beats Biden, that is much better for our country than Donald Trump ever being in the White House again.”

Like Griffin, Haines felt that slamming Trump’s opponents would just offer more leeway for him to become the nominee.

“You can criticize the other candidates all you want — and I don’t vote in these Republican primaries — but I’m to the point that we’re doing no one a favor by ripping apart every option if Trump is the true enemy, which I wish they would come out and say,” Haines explained.

However, Ana Navarro took issue with Haines’ stance.

“When you say that we shouldn’t rip them apart, should we just let her say that America has never been a racist country?” she fired back. “Should we just let Ron DeSantis go after LGBTQ?”

Haines quickly clarified, “No … Inaccuracies, Civil War, come for her. But at this table, it’s often been talked about, ‘Well, Trump’s gonna win anyway and she’s this.’ She’s a lesser evil to me.”

After Navarro challenged Haley to join them at the Hot Topics table to “explain to us how America has never been racist,” Joy Behar chimed in to agree with both Haines and Griffin.

“She would not be an existential threat. I don’t think that she would destroy the democracy that we’ve enjoyed for all these many years,” the comedian said. “And [Trump] would. People need to remember that.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
