During a discussion about Joe Biden‘s use of profanity, The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made the comparison we never expected to hear on the daytime talk show: linking Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Trump.

Considering Goldberg refuses to even say the former POTUS’s name live on air, we can’t even imagine how she would react to Griffin uttering her name in the same sentence as Trump’s. But with Goldberg out of The View every Friday, we were spared her reaction.

Still, that doesn’t mean the Hot Topics table let Griffin’s correlation slip by.

The odd comparison emerged from a discussion about Biden’s frequent swearing. After playing a supercut of the President’s profanities, Griffin said that dropping an F-bomb every now and then may actually help Biden on the campaign trail.

“I think that as far as reaching gettable voters for Biden, showing more passion is a good thing,” she began, but Sunny Hostin cut in to ask her, “Does Trump cuss a lot?”

Griffin — who used to work for Trump — is somewhat of an expert for The View when it comes to the one-term president, and she readily offered her intel as she revealed, “He does, and he’s like Whoopi where every other word is swearing off air, but then somehow can turn it off.”

She added, “I don’t really swear off air, because I’m afraid I’ll do it on air.”

Navarro was shocked by Griffin’s choice to compare Trump to Goldberg of all people. Uttering a low “Oooo,” she told her co-host, “You’re so lucky. You’re so lucky Whoopi ain’t here and you’re comparing her to Trump.”

Letting out a whoop, she shook off her hands as the rest of the panel chuckled at her remark, Griffin included.

Still, she insisted, “To be clear, they’re very different people!”

Understatement of the century.
