Ana Navarro is hitting back at Donald Trump‘s claims that he’s the “father of IVF.”

The former president made the bold statement at a town hall event on Tuesday (Oct. 15) that focused on “women’s issues.” While the audience was only made up of female voters, Navarro pointed out on this morning’s episode of The View that they were all Trump supporters, including “Republican Party officials” and “RNC delegates.”

At one point during the event, Trump bizarrely referred to himself as the “father of IVF,” per Vanity Fair.

“He is not the father of IVF, he is the father of Dobbs, which has put women in great danger. It has put women almost on the verge of death and caused actual death,” Navarro fumed, referring to the Supreme Court’s decision to eliminate the constitutional right to an abortion.

Alyssa Farah Griffin added that it was a “creepy comment” for her former boss to make.

Trump, for his part, has been heavily campaigning on a woman’s right to in vitro fertilization, a topic that caused much discourse earlier this year when Alabama’s Supreme Court came to the decision that frozen embryos should be considered unborn children and that those who destroy them can be held liable for wrongful death, per CNN.

While Trump has repeatedly declared his support for making IVF more accessible for couples who have a hard time getting pregnant naturally, he has also been bragging about his influence on the Supreme Court’s controversial decision to overturn Roe V. Wade.

The Republican candidate revealed in an August interview with CBS News that he had “no regrets” about his handpicked Supreme Court justices ending the constitutional right to an abortion.

“The federal government should have nothing to do with this issue. It’s being solved at the state level, and people are very happy about it,” Trump claimed, per The Hill. “No regrets, no. I wouldn’t have regrets. I did something most people felt was undoable.”
