An adorable American bulldog was stolen at gunpoint from his owner by three crooks who pretended they were interested in buying the pooch in The Bronx this week, police said.
The 23-year-old victim expressed over social media that he intended to sell the pup, and the thieves replied that they were interested — before showing up to his home in Hunts Point around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.
But instead of ponying up cash, the dognapers flashed a gun and snatched the pooch up outside the owner’s home at Seneca Avenue and Faile Street, according to police.
The armed men drove off with the pilfered pet in a gray four-door sedan, authorities said.
The victim did not report any injuries, police said.
The NYPD released a photo of the gray-and-white dog, and one of the suspects, seen with a mustache and wearing a red hoodie.
The two other dognapers were not pictured.
They were still on the loose Thursday, and the dog had not been recovered.
