Former actress and child star Amanda Bynes has found another career path offering advice on Cameo as she tries to get her manicurist career off the ground.

In a statement to The Daily Beast, a rep for Cameo confirmed Bynes joined just last week and has become “a popular/leading talent” on the platform.

In one video available on her profile, Bynes offers some life advice to a fan named Henry while also opening up about her own struggles launching her new career as a manicurist.

“I just wanted to tell you that I totally relate in terms of struggling with work,” she says in the video. “I have my manicurist certification, but I have yet to get my license. I have taken the test three times and I have not passed yet.”

She adds, “It’s a written exam and it’s actually very hard. I’m not stupid and I don’t know why I wouldn’t pass. I’ve studied, I’ve taken practice exams, and I have passed the practice exams but I cannot pass the actual board exam.”

While urging Henry to stay positive, she further opens up about the state of her mental health.

“I feel like, kind of depressed and just moping around because I have nowhere to go every day, like to clock in and get that self-worth that you gain from accomplishing what you need to accomplish for the day,” she says. “The best advice is to keep your head up.”

She also uses herself as a prime example for changing careers.

“I used to be an actress, and I no longer am. I decided to go a different route,” she says. “So if you don’t like what you do for work, you can always go back to school and find a different profession and do something that you enjoy doing more.”

Bynes launched a podcast with her friend in late 2023 that aired only one episode before the former actress ultimately decided to shutter the project. At the time, she said she wanted to pursue a more “consistent job.”

In another video shared on Cameo’s TikTok page, Bynes thanked a fan for wishing her well on her new career and revealed which film or television show was her favorite project to work on.

“I wanted to thank you so much for saying I’m gonna be an amazing manicurist. That means a lot to me. I cannot wait to get my license. I’m so excited to start doing nails,” she said in the video.

Regarding her favorite acting role, Bynes said,”I would probably say What I Like About You. That TV show was super fun.”

For now, fans of the actress can get a personalized message via Cameo for just $100 a pop.
