Alyssa Milano is celebrating another year around the sun.
Yesterday, the actress and activist shared a barefaced Instagram selfie with the caption, “This is 52. No make up [sic]. No filters. Happiness. Sprinkle that sh*t everywhere.”
Addressing her 3.8 million followers, the birthday girl continued, “I love you all. Even the trolls. If you can hate a stranger—I can love a stranger. So…I love you.”
Said internet trolls didn’t waste any time pointing out her bold arches, leading to Milano slightly tweaking the post.
“Edit: yes, my eyebrows are micro-bladed,” the star added at the bottom of her caption.
However, there’s no shortage of uplifting remarks, with fans also commenting, “Fine wine ????????????” and “52 where??? Seriously?”
Ringing in her birthday with a makeup-free Instagram selfie has become a tradition for Milano these past few years.
Last December, the New York native posted a fresh-faced photo in her pajamas, writing, “Today is my birthday! #nomakeupselfie #nofilter #iwokeuplikethis”
And for her big 5-0, Milano shared a candid snap with a caption similar to this year’s.
“This is 50. No filter. No touching up. No make up [sic]. I will spend this day, the same as every day. I will move a little, love a lot, be of service, and count my blessings.”
Milano is one of many stars who’ve joined the ever-growing no-makeup movement.
Pamela Anderson has become synonymous with the beauty trend this past year, having mostly quit color cosmetics since Paris Fashion Week in Sept. 2023.
“I mean .. I love to wear makeup too sometimes,” she told People on the red carpet at the Gotham Awards earlier this month. “It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.”
This year, Milano made her Broadway debut in the Tony-winning revival of “Chicago.”
Playing Roxie Hart, Milano shared in a statement, “I could not be more excited to be getting back to my roots in musical theatre.”
“When I was eight and first joined the national touring company for “Annie,” I never could have imagined the 40-plus-year career ahead of me.”
Friends Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid showed their support, attending the show at the Ambassador Theater in Nov.
What a year.
