Alyssa Farah Griffin tore into two liberal politicians on this morning’s episode of The View, sharply criticizing Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib for their recent comments about the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Griffin, the show’s conservative voice, surprisingly praised President Joe Biden for his handling of the conflict before going in on Omar and Tlaib for blaming Israel for the bombing of a Gaza hospital.

“I want to say, shame on congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, because they played a role in the fact that this agreement with the Arab nations [Biden] was going to meet with fell apart,” she said, referring to the proposed meeting between the President and Arab leaders, which was called off by Jordan.

“We now know that this hospital attack that took place, Biden said he’s very confident that it was not the Israelis who did it. It was likely Islamic Jihad, and that’s because of U.S. Department of Defense intelligence and footage that’s been analyzed,” Griffin continued.

She added, “What happened is, people got angry and outraged, people took it to the streets in the middle of the night to protest civilians allegedly being killed by Israel, and it turns out that very, very likely was not true.”

The co-host ended her comments by telling the panel, “Shame on those congresswomen for not walking back those wrong statements that they made.”

Yesterday (Oct. 17), Omar tweeted in response to the explosion, “Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific,” then called on Biden “to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter.”

Tlaib also took to Twitter after the attack, writing, “Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that.

@POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate,” she added. “Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.”

Neither congresswoman has deleted their comments, which are both still posted to their accounts as of publication time.

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
