Alyssa Farah Griffin is known for offering a uniquely conservative perspective on The View. But Griffin did not shy away from admitting to her co-hosts how difficult that has sometimes been for her since joining the panel in 2022.

The ladies were discussing a recent article about Gen Z employees using bathrooms as a “safe space to calm down” when experiencing stress or anxiety at work. While Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin did not seem to connect with the idea of needing a “safe space” at work, Griffin boldly admitted, “I cry at work but I hide it but so my bosses will never know… I have cried at this job at least half a dozen times.”

Hostin appeared shocked. “You cry at work?!” she asked Griffin, who responded with a laugh, “Are you kidding? Have you done this job?”

Griffin then joked that she has cried in “every corner of this building.”

Her co-hosts appeared shocked as they asked what has caused her to cry at work. Griffin pointed to the fact that she is often the only host on The View who offers a more conservative opinion when discussing politics.

“This is a very hard job to do and I oftentimes have the only opinion that’s different at a table of five people,” she said.

She later added, “I would like to state for the record this is a great job and every time I have cried [executive producer Brian Teta] gives great hugs.”

Goldberg ended the segment by offering some “support” to Griffin and their co-hosts.

“The thing that shocks me there is nothing that people should able do to you to make you cry,” she said, to which Hostin agreed. Sara Haines then interjected to say, “Well, I have stuff to tell you.”

“Yes you do! You should. Let us support you, let us support you because nobody should be crying at this job,” Goldberg maintained.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
