Alyssa Farah Griffin wasted no time calling out Hillary Clinton for telling Americans who are upset with the 2024 presidential nominees to “get over yourself” during her recent appearance on The Tonight Show.
On this morning’s episode of The View, Griffin was the first co-host to chime in with her thoughts on Clinton’s message to those who are unhappy about a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
“She said the quiet part out loud. I don’t necessarily disagree with what she said, but ‘Get Over Yourself 2024’ is not a great campaign slogan,” Griffin said, explaining, “She’s a surrogate — she’s supporting Biden. She wants to reach out to his voters.”
Joy Behar then pointed out the controversial remarks Trump has made over the years, including the time he called American military members who died in war “losers” and “suckers.”
“But that’s the point right there, Joy,” Griffin jumped in. “Everything you said, that’s powerful. That’s the campaign message. Get over yourself? And with due respect to Secretary Clinton — it feels dismissive of what people actually care about.”
Sara Haines, on the other hand, offered a different approach to Clinton’s comment.
“It is really nice to watch Hillary Clinton not hold back,” she said. “We are seeing more of actual Hillary Clinton since she stopped running and actively participating as a candidate herself.”

Haines continued, “She’s literally saying, obviously, it’s a privilege to have more parties. I, as an Independent, really wish we had more parties in general, not this election. I get what she’s saying but at this point, it is ‘get over yourself.’ It’s a bipartisan system. You cannot change it.”
But Griffin doubled down, telling her co-host that Clinton’s messaging is “not gonna work in Michigan,” where there were over 47,000 protest votes made by “really, really angry voters.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
