When you’re at the top, everyone wants their shot at you.

For Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, whose team is a WNBA-best 12-1, that includes NBA player Mikal Bridges as an exchange between the two hoop stars left fans buzzing on social media.

“When’s the next game??? @_ajawilson22,” Bridges tweeted.

Wilson, like she does most nights by averaging 2.2 blocks, rejected the shot attempt by Bridges.

“Please leave me alone, we cool over here,” Wilson responded.

Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sabrina Ionescu #20 of the New York Liberty, and Mikal Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets pose for a photo after the game against the Washington Mystics.

The 26-year-old then responded by saying he’ll just check on Google to find out Wilson’s next game.

Bridges has been a well documented supporter of the WNBA and constantly supports his home team in the New York Liberty – he was spotted along with Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell at the Liberty’s overtime win on Sunday against the Mystics.

“Lmaooo ahh hell, these weird guys about to be in my mentions,” the 26-year-old Wilson tweeted once Bleacher Report promoted the interaction.

The star-studded Liberty are considered by many to be the top challenger to the Aces’ title defense.

The two stars have had Twitter exchanges before, which may lead some to believe that this was no more than playful banter between two friends.

In the beginning of June, Bridges tweeted at Wilson saying “Wassup bestie @_ajawilson22.”

“Did you mean to @ me,” Wilson asked in response.

Wilson and the Aces play next at home as they host the Indiana Fever Monday night.

Don’t be surprised if Bridges shows up courtside to support his “bestie.”

NBA players also usually flock to Vegas for the Summer League, which begins next week, perhaps giving Bridges more opportunities to see them.
