The Eagles may need a meeting to get their story straight.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley and receiver AJ Brown met Monday to reportedly discuss the offensive issues plaguing their championship offense — only Brown bizarrely denied it happened.
“I don’t recall a meeting,” Brown said after Thursday’s 34-17 road loss to the Giants. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Hurts and Barkley both spoke about the meeting during the week, so naturally Brown’s response set off some alarm bells in an already drama-filled season.
The wideout told reporters to “talk to them” when further pressed for details.
On Friday, however, Brown came clean.

“Just to clear this up,” he wrote on X. “That wasn’t a meeting or a sit-down. I said ‘I don’t recall’ because it got painted like there was tension and (Barkley) had to step in. That’s not true. I was walking to my car, saw them, and stopped to talk. Nothing more.”
The Eagles’ stagnant offense became an issue again Thursday when they opted to run their vaunted Tush Push play four times in a row in the second quarter and failed to score in the second half in their second straight loss.

Brown has drawn plenty of attention off the field for his response to the offensive troubles, posting an ominous Bible verse after a two-catch, seven-yard outing in a Week 4 win over the Buccaneers.
Fellow receiver DeVonta Smith seemed to point the finger at QB Hurts following Week 5’s loss to the Broncos.
“There’s times where we’re looking at him and he may give a signal before or after we look, and ultimately we have to be on the same page,” Smith said. “We have to see that signal no matter what.
“It was just little things within the routes. He may have seen something pre-snap and sometimes we didn’t see it.”
Whatever is putting the Eagles’ season in danger of going off the tracks, they may need to meet more — or possibly even less.
