Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is finally talking about what had America buzzing one week ago: His sideline spat with quarterback Jalen Hurts during Philadelphia’s 34-28 win over the Vikings on “Thursday Night Football.”
This Thursday, Brown said it’s all good between him and Hurts, calling the scene which played out a “little sideline discussion,” according to ESPN.
“This is a game that we both love, and I want everybody to understand that sometimes emotions run high. That doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. That doesn’t mean I’m beefing with Jalen,” Brown said.
The encounter happened as the fourth quarter of the game was getting underway with head coach Nick Sirianni finally stepping in to break it up and talk to Brown.
“I know everybody took that out of context, but it’s not a big deal, me and him are still on the same page, we’re still growing, we’re still trying to become great and get wins most importantly,” Brown said.
Brown, 26, didn’t talk to the media after the game, which saw him finish with four catches for 29 yards.

“The reason I left after the game is because my emotion was high, so I had to remove myself. Because I know [the media] wants a story and you all are doing your job … but I just had to clear my mind before [talking],” he said.
Both Hurts and Sirianni had previously addressed the situation and downplayed its significance.
Brown is in his second season with the Eagles, following the April 2022 trade with the Titans.

He responded by putting up career highs in receptions (88) and receiving yards (1,496).
So far this year, Brown is playing second fiddle to DeVonta Smith, who leads the team with 178 receiving yards and two touchdown receptions.
Brown will be back in the national spotlight in Week 3, when the Eagles visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for “Monday Night Football.”
