“Hangman” Adam Page’s redemption was far more important than Will Ospreay’s ascension.
It’s why AEW made the right choice by having Page, wrestling’s most underrated star, win the 2025 Owen Hart Tournament at Double or Nothing on Saturday night and go on to face Jon Moxley for the World Championship at All In on July 12.
The victory came in a classic main event filled with dramatic finisher combos and near falls. It was the fitting culmination of Page’s past past two-plus years where he spent much of the time well out of the world title picture or failing to capitalize on chances to get back into it — including losing last year’s Owen Hart tournament final to Bryan Danielson.
Page had to win at Double or Nothing.
