This suspected drunk took a sobering dunk.
A 22-year-old Florida man was drying out behind bars after taking a wrong turn and driving off a Miami Beach waterfront park and into the ocean on Easter Sunday, according to reports.
Cops said Yandeivy Chavez Dominguez was motoring around in his Toyota Corolla at South Pointe Park around 7 a.m. when he screeched off the sidewalk and into the water, WTVJ-TV News reported.
“Maybe it’s an Easter miracle,” quipped eyewitness Andres Asion, who lives near the site of the crash.
“I realized the car landed in the water, so I called 911 right away and let them know where the car was,” he told the outlet. “And I was racing down here to see if anyone else was hurt, to jump in and save them.”
Asion said that by the time he got to the water, Dominguez was swimming toward shore — and told him no one else was in the sinking car.
“It was noticeable he was not all there,” he added. “He was drunk, is my thought process. Thank God he made it out alive and that he didn’t kill somebody because there are a lot of people that run and walk their dogs through here every single morning.”
Miami Beach cops were not amused and gave Dominguez a soggy sobriety test when they got to the scene.
He didn’t pass — cops charged the careless wheelman with driving under the influence and booked him.
Footage obtained by the outlet showed the wrecked sedan being pulled from the water — while the unsteady driver was placed in cuffs and given a room at the local jail.
He was ordered held on a $1,000 bond, according to WTVJ.
No one was injured in the incident, police said.
