Aaron Rodgers <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/03/13/sports/aaron-rodgers-takes-solo-beach-stroll-as-free-agency-decision-looms/">has gone from the beaches of Malibu</a> to the Steel City.

The ex-Jets quarterback is visiting the Steelers’ facility on Friday and is expected to meet with their coaching staff and personnel as his free agency waiting game continues, <a href="https://x.com/gerrydulac/status/1903124210127450195" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported</a>.

<a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1903127520435732975" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ESPN’s Adam Schefter added</a> Friday “no deal at this time is close,” citing a source.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette <a href="https://x.com/gerrydulac/status/1903129625481433580" target="_blank" rel="noopener">also noted</a>: “A commitment from Rodgers may not come today, if at all, and he is just visiting with team owner Art Rooney II, coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan.”

The Steelers and the equally quarterback-needy Giants have heavily pursued Rodgers, 41, this offseason following his release from the Jets.

The Vikings — a reported preference of the four-time league MVP — <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/03/19/sports/vikings-out-on-aaron-rodgers-as-giants-steelers-remain/">indicated this week</a> they’re moving forward with J.J. McCarthy under center. 

Prior to Friday’s news, Rodgers was photographed spending time on the West Coast as he pondered his next move.
