Aaron Rodgers is out of the country but appears to have his next team in his crosshairs.
“The Jets told Aaron Rodgers he was not wanted over there,” friend and ESPN host Pat McAfee said on his self-titled program Wednesday. “Aaron, from our sources, currently out of [the] country, when [he] gets back, will join the program. I did ask about [the] Rams situation to our sources. Open to everything, attached to nothing. Big fan of Sean McVay, though.”
McAfee later added that retirement is a possibility for the 41-year-old future Hall of Famer should no one bite after he was given the boot from the Big Apple by new coach Aaron Glenn.
Meanwhile, star receiver Davante Adams could also be tied to Rodgers in 2025, according to McAfee.
There’s just one catch with the Rams-Rodgers connectino, though.
The Rams quarterback job is not open — yet.
Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford and the front office are currently at odds with each other as the former looks for a pay raise from his current salary.

Stafford is slated to make just north of $30 million in 2025.
With the Rams and Stafford unable to agree to a new deal for the time being, Los Angeles is allowing its star quarterback to talk with other teams about what his value is on the open market.
The Giants are one of those teams that have talked to Stafford’s camp, a source told The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy.
The Raiders and Tom Brady are also reportedly interested.
If Stafford is indeed traded, the Rams could turn to Rodgers for 2025.
Rodgers spends his offseasons in Malibu, Calif. and said he appreciates the sunshine in a recent interview discussing what he’s looking for in his next team.
Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in a disastrous season for the Jets, which ended with a 5-12 record.
