NextImg:Aaron Rodgers looks spry connecting with Garrett Wilson at Jets’ voluntary workouts

Call it another positive sign for Aaron Rodgers heading into next season.

The Jets quarterback seemed to be throwing and moving well in a short social media clip posted by the team on Sunday.

Rodgers is in town for voluntary offseason workouts at the team facility in Florham Park.

In the eight-second clip, Rodgers is seen quickly moving and bouncing around in the imaginary pocket before throwing to wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who made a leaping catch on a crisp pass.

It was the second time in the last three days that the team had shared footage of Rodgers working with Wilson during the offseason training.

In the previous video, the duo is seen once again as Rodgers fires a pass to Gang Green’s young star receiver.

Rogers is returning to the field in 2024 after missing nearly all of last season after he suffered a torn Achilles in his left leg four plays into his Jets debut against the Bills in Week 1.

The future Hall of Fame QB recently revealed on the “I Can Fly” podcast that he had feared that the injury was going to be the end of his career.

However, Rodgers underwent surgery and appears to be returning to the field more fired up than ever.

Rodgers had recently been spotted working out with members of the USC football team out in Los Angeles and arrived in New York last week to take part in the voluntary workouts.

“I’m excited about playing again,” Rodgers said during the podcast appearance. “I love playing. I fell back in love with the game and then I had it taken away after four plays. I miss being out there, I love competing.”

NFL guidelines restrict how much players can do during the first two weeks of voluntary offseason workouts, limiting the on-field time to 90 minutes and weight lifting time to two hours at the discretion of the player.

Quarterbacks are only allowed to throw to receivers with no coverage during the first two weeks as well.
