Aaron Rodgers’ focus is on his own recovery and his current team, but that doesn’t mean he has completely forgotten about the Packers.

The injured Jets quarterback, in fact, is thrilled to see Jordan Love get off to such a strong start with Green Bay. Rodgers revealed Friday on “The Pat McAfee Show” that after Love helped the Packers beat the Bears in Week 1, he texted to his former teammate: “Congratulations on keeping the ownership in place.”

Rodgers is out for the season after he tore his left Achilles tendon during the fourth play of his Jets debut against the Bills on Sept. 11.

Love, the Packers’ first-round pick in 2020, spent three years as Rodgers’ backup.

So far this year, he has thrown for six touchdowns without an interception, though Green Bay did lose last week to the Falcons.

“I didn’t see the Falcons game, but I did get to see a decent part of the Bears game,” Rodgers said. “I thought [Love] played excellent, and I was really happy for him. Green Bay quarterbacks have made fans of Chicago’s days and nights pretty miserable, and I’m happy to see him picking up where I left off.”
