Aaron Judge tied an American League record Tuesday, when he was intentionally walked twice to pull even with Ted Williams’ 34 in 1957 for the most in one season in the AL since the stat began being tracked.
Wednesday’s moment of history was a bit juicier.

The Yankees captain blasted his 50th home run of the year — becoming just the fourth player in major league history and second Yankee to tally four seasons of at least 50 homers — to put the Yankees ahead of the White Sox, 3-1, in the second inning in The Bronx.
On a first-pitch sinker from Jonathan Cannon, Judge smacked the three-run shot in the home bullpen. The only other players with four 50-dinger seasons are Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. No player has five.
Judge, who cracked 52 homers in 2017, 62 in ’22 and 58 in ’24, has four more regular-season games to pad his total.
