Rihanna and A$AP Rocky celebrated their son RZA’s first birthday on Saturday while also confirming the inspiration behind the toddler’s name.

“‘WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN ????’ HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN . RZA❤️,” the “Sundress” rapper, 34, wrote via Instagram on Saturday.

Rocky — whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers — also shared a behind-the-scenes look at their life as a family, which included a pregnant Rihanna kissing his cheek while their son smiled at the camera and the family of three rocking leather looks.

Other photos showcased the rapper’s relationship with his young son as they danced together and bonded while Rocky shaved.

Exactly one year after he was born, it was revealed that the couple’s son was named after Wu-Tang Clan frontman Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, professionally known as RZA.

However, Rihanna, 35, has seemingly been hinting at his name for months after she was spotted wearing Wu-Tang Clan shirts for multiple outings.

The couple is also expecting to welcome their second child together any day now.

Meanwhile, Rocky and Rihanna also hinted at another major life event after the makeup mogul attended the Met Gala in a bridal gown by Valentino.

On Twitter, the “We Found Love” singer later doubled down on the nuptial insinuation with the caption, “shout outz 2 the bridal party….here come de bride #idoKARL#METgala2023.” 

The two began dating in 2020 but have been linked together professionally as early as 2013.
