A 91-year-old man’s screams scared off a would-be robber who shoved him to the ground in a brutal broad daylight attack blocks from his Upper East Side home, cops and sources said.

The brute pounced on the elderly man as he was walking on East 86th Street near First Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 1, knocking him to the ground and unloading punches as he tried to grab the man’s wallet, police said.

But the assailant ran off empty-handed when the nonagenarian began to shout, police sources said.

The elderly victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside with serious injuries, cops said.

Images released by the NYPD late Tuesday show the male suspect with a goatee, wearing a black winter coat, gray hat and carrying a black backpack.

He was still on the loose Wednesday.
