We’re only several weeks away from 9-1-1: Nashville‘s big ABC premiere, and from the looks of Decider’s latest exclusive promo, the new 9-1-1 spinoff is coming in HOT.
Before the latest first responser procedural in the franchise premieres on Thursday, October 9, Decider is giving fans an exclusive look at the emergencies, drama, and music (!) they can expect from the new team.
“Alright, 113. We are on the move,” Chris O’Donnell’s Captain Don Hart shouts, as he and his fearless team of firefighters set out to respond to emergency calls in Music City. “The city needs us at our best. Even when things are at their worst.”
Since the series is set and shot in Nashville, Tennessee, showrunner Rashad Raisani assured fans that “country music and honky-tonks and tornadoes” are on the way. Judging by the teaser above, a serious storm — and literal rings of fire — are also coming!
Set to Jason Aldean’s “Crazy Town,”the 30-second promo offers a glimpse at early 9-1-1: Nashville emergencies, which Raisani recently teased to TV Insider, saying, “We have an Airstream trailer that ends up on top of a bridge and a poor guy on a Segway tour of the city who ends up impaled on a water tower.” We also get a closer look at 9-1-1: Nashville‘s new firehouse and see its first responders in action.
Alongside O’Donnell, 9-1-1: Nashville‘s stacked cast includes Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and more fresh and familiar faces.
Capshaw plays Blythe Hart, Don’s wife and mother to Michael Provost’s Ryan Hart, a firefighter/modern-day cowboy. Working in the firehouse alongside the Hart boys is Hailey Kilgore’s Taylor, a firefighter and singer. Hunter McVey stars as Blue, a bad boy-turned-firefighter. And Juani Feliz plays Roxie, a former trauma surgeon.
Outside of Station 113, country singer Rimes stars as Blue’s mom, Dixie Bennings. And former Nashville star Williams-Paisley plays 911 dispatcher Cammie Raleigh, who’s also Blythe’s sister-in-law.

9-1-1: Nashville‘s creative team confirmed that music will play a significant role in the new series, and we already know country singer Kane Brown is set to appear in the series premiere. Other reported stars set to recur include Virgin River‘s Tim Matheson, The Righteous Gemstones’ Gregory Alan Williams, and Hell on Wheels star MacKenzie Porter.
As Provost’s character Ryan says in the promo, “Being a firefighter is a calling.” So we can’t wait to meet these new characters and learn what brought each of them to 9-1-1: Nashville‘s team.
Stay tuned for more 9-1-1: Nashville updates and Decider coverage in the lead-up to the premiere, and be sure to mark your calendars for October 9 for 9-1-1: Nashville‘s debut and the 9-1-1 Season 9 premiere.
9-1-1: Nashville premieres Thursday, October 9 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC with next-day streaming on Hulu.
