Gobsmacked after the brutal Season 3 finale of Reacher? (Fun fact, that climatic fight scene took three weeks to shoot!) First off, it’s already slated to return for Season 4, so no worries there. Second, we’ve got you covered with a selection of other watches to stream in the meantime.
Based on Lee Child’s novel Persuader in the Jack Reacher book series, Season 3 follows the burly former military police major (Alan Ritchson) infiltrating a criminal operation to rescue an undercover DEA informant, and coming face to face with an old– thought to be dead– enemy in the process. Cynical humor, a routinely timed sex scene, and an action-packed finale ensued over 8 episodes.
If you’re ready for more thrills, here are 7 more shows to fill the giant void Amazon Prime’s favorite nomad left on our screens:

Heartthrob Leo Woodall stars as Edward Brooks– a gifted Cambridge math student who discovers patterns in prime numbers that access every computer in the world. Not exactly the kind of skill international intelligence agencies want an average joe to have. With his life and work at risk, Edward teams up with the agent tasked in surveilling him to uncover a conspiracy.
For another action thriller also based on a novel, The Night Agent has 2 full seasons to watch now on Netflix and another on the way! While working the night shift in the White House basement, FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) answers a call on an emergency phone line that never rings. From there, he teams up with a cybersecurity wiz and works to expose corruption and conspiracy in the Oval Office itself. Because that could never happen, right!
Hooray for more action shows based on books! Now don’t get confused, this is a different show with a main character named Jack that fights bad guys that is also adapted from a longstanding novel series. There’s a large list of adaptations based on the character created by author Tom Clancy, and here John Krasinski stars as the titular Jack Ryan. The CIA analyst gets a change of scenery when he leaves his desk job for field work after discovering suspicious banking transactions. The following seasons feature more political panic and international intrigue. Hooray for more government corruption!
Eddie Redmayne is “the Jackal”– a highly skilled assassin taking out hits for the highest bid. His latest hit draws the attention of MI6 agent Bianca Pullman (Lashana Lynch). A hunt begins across Europe as the Jackal attempts to complete one final mission before leaving a life of killing behind, and Bianca is determined to bring him down. And guess what…it’s based on a novel of the same name by Frederick Forsyth.
Con man Marius (Giovanni Ribisi) gets released from prison only to be hunted by a gangster (Bryan Cranston). In order to fly under the radar, Marius assumes the identity of his old cellmate, Pete, and assimilates into Pete’s estranged family. The lies begin to crumble and more trouble transpires when his new family may be more dangerous than they appear.
Just when life is falling into place, Muncie Daniels (Colman Domingo) discovers the dead body of a notorious white supremacist in the woods and is framed for murder. In this paranoia-fueled mini series, the TV pundit must fight to clear his name and stay alive. With suspense, more conspiracies keep you on the edge of your seats and names like Academy award nominee Colman Domingo and Stephen McKinley Henderson, what more could you want?
Jeff Bridges is the titular old man, Dan Chase — a former CIA operative with a complicated past living an isolated life. After killing an assassin sent to take him out, Chase goes rogue and the FBI is hot on his tail. Though, there’s more gumption to this elder than what meets the eye. Also starring John Lithgow and Janet McTeer, do you want to guess what this gripping thriller is based on?
