A 57-year-old man was found dead in a subway car at the end of a train line in Queens on Monday night, according to police.
The grim discovery was made by the members of a cleaning crew that boarded the W train at the Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. station just before 7 p.m., cops said.
The workers called 911 and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene for a report of an unresponsive and unconscious man on the train.
The subway rider was pronounced dead and his body was removed from the station.
The man’s cause of death has not been determined, but cops recovered drug paraphernalia from the train car, according to the NYPD.
Investigators do not suspect any criminality was involved in his death.
Police did not ID the victim as they are in the process of notifying family members of his death.
W and N trains were delayed for several hours in both directions as a result of the incident, the MTA informed riders.
