Training camp is over, and the initial 53-man roster is set for the Jets.
Now, they begin preparing for the 49ers in Week 1. The roster will get tweaked between now and kickoff, but let’s take a look at the 53 players who made the team out of training camp with a thought on each.
The order of the list is based on a blend of how they performed in camp and their importance for the season.
1. Aaron Rodgers, QB: Camp could not have gone better for the 40-year-old coming off an Achilles injury. Rodgers only missed time when the Jets decided to hold him back. He looked mobile and made at least one throw a practice that made people say, “Wow.” Rodgers looked like his normal self. We’ll see how it translates when he is dealing with pass rushers.
