Kristin and Kyle Juszczyk appear to be taking a page from Lisa McCaffrey’s playbook ahead of Super Bowl 2024.
When speaking to the media this week, the 49ers fullback joked he and his designer wife are briefly pausing their Taylor Swift support as San Francisco prepares to face Kansas City — and the pop star’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — in Sunday’s big game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“We’re big supporters of Taylor, but not this week,” Kyle said when NFL Network’s Omar Ruiz inquired if Kristin has plans to design a piece for Swift, 34, for the Super Bowl.
Kristin, who has long created 49ers-inspired fashions for game days, jumped into the national spotlight in January when Swift arrived at the Chiefs’ wild-card playoff game wearing a custom No. 87 jacket — Kelce’s jersey number — designed by the Long Island native.
Ruiz recalled a previous conversation with Kyle, 32, about “how proud” the eight-time Pro Bowler is of his wife’s work.
“I remember talking to Kyle much earlier in the season – long before Taylor Swift & the recent attention on Kristin’s work – about how proud he was of his wife’s clothing designs. To see how this has unfolded for her & how he’s handled it, too, has been cool to see,” Ruiz shared Thursday in a message on X.
Kristin has since secured a licensing deal with the NFL and unveiled the first officially licensed NFL drop Wednesday, a Super Bowl 2024 puffer vest.
“Auction will be live starting at 12pm ET tomorrow through Saturday at 11:59pm ET. All proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc,” she posted on Instagram.
Kyle is seeking his first Super Bowl win Sunday after getting shut out four years ago against the Chiefs in Miami.
His teammate, star running back Christian McCaffrey, is also pursuing his first ring, with his mom quipping last week how they’re tuning out Swift for the time being.
“I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days,” Lisa said on the”Your Mom” podcast.
“I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs.”
Swift, who is currently performing in Tokyo as part of the international leg of her Eras Tour, is anticipated to touch down in Las Vegas before kickoff on Sunday.
She and Kelce, 34, have been dating since the summer.
