Who’s the fairest of them all? Well, as far as mirrors go, there are quite a few options that caught our attention.
While some may overlook the decorative, practical natures mirrors provide, the household accent piece adorns your wall (or space, if it’s full-length) in the best way possible.

We love our decorative wall art — don’t get us wrong — but mirrors are another way to add some neutral showpieces to your blank walls or open bedroom corners. Mirrors ultimately can add an element that furniture, pictures and art can’t replicate. Don’t just take our word for it though, the New York Post spoke with interior designers to get the lowdown on the benefits of adding a mirror to your space as well as styling tips and some expert recommendations.
“Mirrors are a great way to spice up an artwork-only gallery wall, add functionality to a space like a bathroom, bedroom or entryway, and bounce around natural light (which can actually make a space feel larger),” Heather Goerzen a design editor for interior design service Havenly told The Post.
When it comes to styling a mirror, Devin Shaffer a design expert at interior design service Decorilla finds that mirrors can instantly elevate any spot you put them.
“Mirrors are seriously the answer to so many design problems,” he told The Post. “Have an awkward niche or area in your house that’s just not working? Stick a mirror there. Bookshelves looking a little blah? Make the back mirrored and voila, instant style upgrade.

“And don’t even get me started on hallways — a few mirrors can open up the space and make it feel so much more interesting. Plus, if you’re ever feeling stuck and not sure what to do with a particular room or wall, just throw a mirror on it. Whether you need to add dimension, light, or just a touch of personality, mirrors are always a great option.”
That said, we rallied up our 21 favorites across top retailers like Amazon (which we go to for nearly everything), Anthropologie and more to give you the best selection no matter your budget and style.

If you’re considering purchasing either a mirror or some artwork for your home — don’t compromise. Pottery Barn’s rounded mirror combines some of the most popular trends including round shapes and natural wooden material. The thick, oversize border taps into the artwork look you like, but with an inner mirror component to get the best of both worlds.
Just like art though, Goerzen advises to “always hang a mirror at eye-level — usually 4-6 inches above a piece of furniture” to get the best results.

If there’s one thing all the interior designers could agree on, it’s that Target is their favorite place to find budget-friendly picks. What’s so great about this arched mirror (besides the price point) is how trendy it is.
“As far as finish goes, brass-trimmed mirrors have been trending for awhile now — this classic metal adds a nice touch of warmth to any space,” said Goerzen.
It’s versatile enough to be the focal point or be placed above a small bookshelf or vanity table.

CB2 is a go-to for Shaffer and Goerzen when looking for more luxe options. This particular style features a chic marble frame and curves, which is “all the rage these days,” according to Shaffer.
“They offer a playful and whimsical twist on the traditional mirror, and add a touch of softness and femininity to a space,” he said.
In addition, “the gentle curves of a curvy mirror can soften the harsh lines of a room and create a more inviting atmosphere.” And, for those looking to break out of a more geometric look, they’re the perfect piece for adding “a playful personality and visual interest to a space.”
