NextImg:2024 NFL Draft No. 1 pick odds: Caleb Williams emerges as massive favorite

It is the NFL Draft betting season, and it may be a lock that Caleb Williams will go No. 1 overall.

Williams has -1600 odds at FanDuel to be selected with the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the highest odds on the legal sports betting market.

Other sportsbooks are not going to such lengths, although Williams is still a resounding -1000 at DraftKings and -910 at BetRivers Sportsbook, the latter odds representing a 90.1 percent chance implied that the former USC Trojan signal-caller will his name heard first on Apr. 25 in Detroit.

Interestingly, Williams to be drafted by the Bears — owners of the No. 1 pick — has -900 odds at DraftKings.

Although you can’t bet on it, the implied odds on DraftKings would project roughly a 100/1 chance that the Bears trade the No. 1 overall selection in this years draft.

It’s clear that oddsmakers believe Williams has separated himself from the other consensus top quarterbacks in North Carolina’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jayden Daniels.

Maye is favored to go to Washington with the No. 2 pick, leaving the Patriots at No. 3 as perhaps the wild card in the draft should they decide to sign a veteran and draft Marvin Harrison Jr.

At the very bottom of the board is Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman with 200/1 odds.

Hartman will be 25 by the time training camp rolls around in August, and after struggling down the stretch he has the same odds as Michigan running back Blake Corum to go No. 1.

Also down the board is Spencer Rattler of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Rattler was once the betting favorite to go No. 1 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft but has since seen his career spiral, moving from Oklahoma to South Carolina.

He has been saying that he is “still that same guy” but will have a tough time convincing teams he is prepared to that high in drafts.
