Two people were killed and another person was injured in a three-vehicle crash and blaze involving a tanker trailer carrying jet fuel on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

A vehicle with a flat tire was stopped in the right northbound lane of the Northeast Extension of Interstate 476 in Worcester Township with a flat tire when another driver stopped with their hazard lights to help on Saturday morning, police told WPVI.

The tanker truck driving behind them was unable to stop in time and crashed into both vehicles, causing a massive fire, police said.

The tanker truck driver and the driver of the second vehicle were both declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the first vehicle was taken to a local hospital. Their injuries and condition are unknown.

The victims have not yet been identified.

A driver had pulled over to assist another vehicle with a flat tire when they were struck by the tanker truck.
