A 16-year-old boy was stabbed and pummeled in a Brooklyn subway station by a group of fellow teenagers who pounced on him after asking if he belonged to a gang, cops said Wednesday.

The victim was at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station just after 4 p.m. Tuesday when he crossed paths with the crew of eight youngsters in the passageway heading toward the Nos. 3 and 4 lines, authorities said.

“As they are passing, someone in that group of eight individuals asked him a question… if he was a member of a gang,” NYPD Chief of Transit Michael Kemper told reporters Wednesday.

One member of the group, pictured here, asked the teen if he belonged to a gang, cops said.

Kemper didn’t say what the teen replied – but it prompted the eight baby-faced attackers to begin punching and kicking him repeatedly.

The violent crew then stabbed the boy three times with a sharp object, twice in his torso and once in his armpit, Kemper and cops said.

The suspects – who appeared to be teens themselves – took off after the assault, cops said.

The victim, meanwhile, walked to an upper level of the station, where he ran into cops and reported the crime, Kemper said.

He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The stabbing was captured on video, according to Kemper.

The video has not been officially released, but photos released by the NYPD showed each of the eight suspects walking inside the station.
