A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Harlem late Sunday, sparking a manhunt for two suspects, police said.
Gunfire erupted around 9:45 p.m. near a subway station at West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue in Manhattan, just steps away from Harlem Hospital, cops said.
The teenage victim was transported by first responders to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the stomach. He is expected to recover.
Cops who were called to the scene of the shooting recovered a gun beneath a parked car.
Police are searching for two unidentified suspects in connection with the attack. No motive has been released so far.
The 15-year–old victim has a history of run-ins with the law, including an arrest last week on a charge of illegal gun possession, the station PIX11 reported, citing unnamed law enforcement sources.
