A 14-year-old boy was jumped by a group and stabbed in the stomach outside of Benjamin Cardozo High School in Queens on Wednesday morning, police said.
The victim was attacked at around 11:30 a.m. on the street opposite a school building at the corner of 223rd Street and 58th Avenue, cops said.
The boy, a student at the school — which was open for Regents summer exams — was approached by an unknown number of people, who stabbed him once, causing a cut to his stomach area, the NYPD said.
He was taken to Long Island Jewish Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.
Police have not released a motive.
It was unclear if the suspected attackers attended the school.
A resident of the area, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Post: “When I woke up this morning, I saw a lot of police cars and an ambulance a little further down the block but I didn’t know what was going on.
“I can’t believe that’s what happened and school hasn’t even officially opened yet.”

Crime is down in the Big Apple by 0.03%, compared to the same time last year, according to NYPD data.
Both felony and misdemeanor assault are up 5.3 and 4.8%, respectively. Grand larceny auto is also up by 18.6%, the statistics show.
