A 13-year-old girl is changing the skating world two revolutions at a time.

Australian skateboarder Arisa Trew became the first female to land a 720 while competing at the Tony Hawk Vert Alert event in Utah on Saturday.

The crowd erupted into roars of applause after witnessing the monumental moment the teenager successfully spun two full rotations in the air off a vert ramp before landing sturdily on her board.

“I can’t believe I landed my first 720!!! and to be the first girl in the world to land a 7 in competition,” Trew wrote on Instagram before thanking her coach Trev Ward and others.

Trew landed the history-making maneuver in front of Hawk, who said the teen “brought the house down.”

The skateboarding legend became the first person to land a 720 — which was considered nearly impossible at the time — while competing at the 1999 X Games.

He provided some pointers to Trew in the moments before she landed the trick, as well as to 16-year-old German Olympian Lilly Stoephasius, who was also going for the record, according to Ward.

“When best trick came I asked her what are we doing? She replied a 720. I knew Lilly would be going for it too. What an amazing scenario. The 2 best vert skaters going head to head to land the 720 in front of the inventor of the trick @tonyhawk,” Ward wrote on Instagram.

“We knew it was coming soon. We just didn’t expect it to be on the world stage rather than on our vert ramp back home in Australia. Arisa has an amazing mindset and willpower to succeed. Congrats Arisa you are amazing.”

The coach said he and Trew had only been competing at the Utah event because they found some time between competitions in Argentina and Rome.

Trew achieved the groundbreaking trick just after the clock ran out for the Best Trick category, but had already secured first place for the Women’s Final.

Trew has been training for the 720 ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games scheduled for Paris, where she would compete for Australia if selected.

The teenager is currently ranked 14th in the world.
