Netflix is coming in hot with must-see content this September 2025, thanks to the fantastic films, specials, and events that will get your heart racing with swoon-worthy plotlines, bust your gut with incredible comedy, and so much more. Whether you’re looking for something intense, informative, or entertaining, Netflix has got you covered. Keep reading for the streamer’s best new movies coming in September.

Netflix is releasing two standout original films in the first half of the month, with the two-part documentary film aka Charlie Sheen, as well as the Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fodé-led romantic-comedy, The Wrong Paris, which are both poised to potentially land in the Netflix Top 10.

Additionally, in the back half of the month, Netflix will debut some amazing international titles that will widen your worldview and make you feel like you’re on summer vacation even after the seasons change, such as the German romantic comedy-drama, She Said Maybe, the romantic comedy-drama out of France, French Lover, and the Thai rom-com Same Day with Someone.

Lastly, all throughout Netflix’s September streaming slate, you can brighten your day with spectacular comedy specials, like Cristela Alonzo: Upper Classy, Jordan Jensen: Take Me With You, and Earthquake: Joke Telling Business.
