When I was writing a column about how Congress should cut off funding for public broadcasting the other day, it all felt familiar and a bit of a chore — I had written columns making the same points so many times over the years and Republicans always failed to cut off CPB’s funding.

Now, lo and behold, they’ve actually done it. Congrats to all involved, especially the great Tim Graham of the Media Research Center who has finally landed his white whale. Well done.
