At least four people have been killed and seven others injured in Russian drone attacks on the Kherson region of southern Ukraine in the last 24 hours, regional Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said on Monday.

As the Ukrainian Air Force reported that 59 Russian drones had been neutralised across Ukraine overnight, Prokudin said that two multi-storey apartment buildings and 30 houses had been damaged in the attacks on his region.

Ivan Fedorov, governor of the Zaporizhzhia region in southeastern Ukraine, said that at least 20 people were injured in a Russian airstrike on the city of Zaporizhzhia on Sunday. The city’s bus station suffered the worst impact.

Meanwhile, at least three people have been killed and five injured in Ukrainian drone strikes on businesses in Russia’s Tula and Nizhny Novgorod regions, according to the local authorities.

Tula region Governor Dmitry Milyaev said air defences had shot down 11 drones over the central Russian region on Sunday. Two people were killed and three others were injured when a non-military business was targeted in the city of Tula.

Ukrainian drones also struck two industrial sites in the central Nizhny Novgorod region, according to Governor Gleb Nikitin. Nikitin said one employee was killed in an attack in the city of Arzamas, while another two employees were hospitalised.

Air defences also shot down three drones over Moscow and the Moscow region, the capital’s mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, said on Sunday. There were no casualties

The Russian Defence Ministry said that air defences had shot down 59 Ukrainian drones over nine Russian regions and annexed Crimea in all overnight.
