CBS’s Taylor Tomlinson continued her strange quest to turn alleged health insurance CEO assassin Luigi Mangione into a sex symbol on Wednesday’s edition of After Midnight.

Tomlinson began to conclude her monologue by reporting, “And finally: new Luigi outfit just dropped.”

After some hooting and hollering from the audience, Tomlinson continued as she talked over a screenshot of a New York Post headline that claimed, in part, “Luigi Mangione’s fancy trial loafers spark 1,400% Google search spike.”

She declared, “Yeah, he was seen in court wearing loafers with no socks, so now it's being called the ‘New summer footwear fashion.’ Yeah, bare ankles haven't gotten this much hype since the Victorian Era. 

Tomlinson suggested the episode proved that men have it all wrong when they are trying to impress women, “It's funny, men are always trying to get bigger biceps, meanwhile we’re going incognito mode to open Wikiankles. I swear everything Luigi does turns into a trend. He's like Regina George in Mean Girls. Next spring all the fashion girlies are going to be wearing ‘No chance of parole' core.”

Last month, Tomlinson compared Mangione to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, describing the former as a “hotter, younger health advocate” and mused about how “I bet we could peer pressure Joe Biden into pardoning Luigi before he leaves office.”
