NextImg:MSNBC'S Mohyeldin Suggests Netanyahu 'Dog-Walked' Trump Into Attacking Iran

Looking for the liberal media's most anti-Trump, anti-Israel take on President Trump's decision to strike Iran? Look no further than MSNBC's Ayman Mohyeldin, formerly of Al Jazeera.

Speaking with Rachel Maddow on Saturday night, Mohyeldin repeatedly suggested that Benjamin Netanyahu "dog-walked" President Trump into attacking Iran.

This would seem to be a reversal of the antisemitic cartoon the New York Times published in 2019, where Netanyahu was the dog and Trump was a blind man. MSNBC has criticized Trump for his regular use of dog metaphors.

Mohyeldin's dehumanizing claim was that Trump might have been unaware of Israel's intent to attack Iran, and that Netanyahu knew:

"That at some point the political pressure domestically among Republicans, supporters of Israel and their base [the Joos!], are going to put this pressure on the president to get involved on behalf of Israel.

Mohyeldin also suggested that Netanyahu was "running circles" around Trump. Shades of Ilhan Omar accusing Israel of "hypnotizing the world." Those sly Jews, with their infernal ability to outwit others!

If Trump hadn't been "dog-walked," Mohyeldin's alternative explanation was that Trump had been "lying" to the American people when he claimed to want a diplomatic solution.

How about explanation number three, Ayman? Trump did pursue a diplomatic solution, but eventually concluded that an intransigent Iran was not negotiating in good faith. So the military option was the only one left to achieve Trump's goal of preventing Iran from producing nuclear weapons.

For Mohyeldin, born in Egypt of an Egyptian mother and a Palestinian father, the use of "dog" to describe Trump was a calculated insult. In Arabic, calling someone a dog "implies being disloyal, treacherous, or morally low, often conveying a sense of contempt. Can imply a person is subservient or shameless, as dogs can sometimes be associated with submission."

And when Mohyeldin added the metaphor of Trump being "dog-walked," it amplified the notion of him being weak and submissive, literally led around by Netanyahu.

Note: Mohyeldin is the guy who accused Navy Seal Chris Kyle of being a "racist," and described his work as a sniper as "killing sprees." Mohyeldin also falsely suggested that a Palestinian stabber in Jerusalem was unarmed when shot by police, despite footage clearly showing a knife in his hand.

Here's the transcript.

AYMAN MOHYELDIN: And I think Donald Trump tonight, by going into this war— and there are questions about the legality of it—and there's even questions about whether he knew that this was going to happen. And I'll say this really quickly about that.

There were questions as to whether or not Israel dog-walked the Prime Minister, Israeli Prime Minister dog-walked President Trump into this war. And what I mean by that is, President Trump campaigned that he was not going to get involved in war. He talked just the day or two before this war began about how he wanted to give diplomacy a chance.

And if you take a step back and see what really happened here, Donald Trump was either in on this ruse by the prime minister, meaning he was going to go along with what was happening with an attack on Iran, but he was lying to the American people by coming out saying, hey, I want to give diplomacy a chance. I campaigned on not starting a war.

And at the same time, he was completely unaware of what Israel was going to do. And that the Israeli prime minister potentially was running circles around him because he saw, hey, this is a President of the United States that was either incompetent, or weak, or indecisive. I'm going to launch this war against Iran, knowing that at some point the political pressure domestically among Republicans, supporters of Israel and their base, are going to put this pressure on the president to get involved on behalf of Israel.

So in either way you look at it, President Donald Trump either was lying to the American public when he was telling us directly he wanted to give diplomacy a chance, or he was part of the deception of what Israel was going to do.

Or, he didn't know what Israel was going to do and was ultimately being goaded and dog-walked by the Prime Minister of Israel into this war.
