Former MSNBC host and professional crazy person Joy Reid joined former colleague Katie Phang on her YouTube show that partners with the MeidasTouch Network on Tuesday to argue that the news media is not being tough enough when it comes to questions around President Trump’s health. In one specific instance, Reid went deep down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole and claimed Trump was only “supposedly shot,” and she’s just asking questions.
Reid ranted that:
The reality is this is the oldest president we've ever had in our history. His father, I believe, died out of the complications of Alzheimer's. He's showing clear signs that he isn't well. His face looks like it's coming apart. He's got all these bruises all over his hands, which we don't know what that's from. They won't explain it. He's got these magical doctors who claimed that he was shot in the ear, but his ear, I guess, grew back. He had a Dukal bandage on one minute, no bandage the next. We can't get a medical record from this alleged assassination. He was supposedly shot. We have nothing. We've got no—we can’t even ask.
Phang then interjected to voice her agreement, “Where's the investigative? Where are the investigative records? One day he slapped this maxi pad on his ear. The next day the ear is totally fine.”
One should always be wary about debating flat earthers, but it must be said that FBI affirmed Trump was, in fact, hit in the ear by a bullet. Forensic evidence also shows the bullet traveled in a straight line when it struck Trump as opposed to hitting the teleprompter and having glass shards fly everywhere.
Reid, however, continued, “It's fine. And we, and I remember being in mainstream media, where we both used to work, saying, ‘Isn't it odd that we've never asked for his medical records?’ And I got in trouble for that, right? So, so you're, you're not allowed to even say, Isn't that weird? We have more records. I know more about the attempted Ford assassination, Henry—the President Ford than I do about Donald Trump, and the Gerald Ford thing happened when I was a child, right?”
She also demanded more from her former colleagues, “We're getting nothing, and the mainstream media isn't demanding his medical records. They're not demanding anything. They're terrified of this man.”
Cracking herself up, Reid then moved on to the fringe left’s new favorite conspiracy theory, “And now that the people are speculating that he might have died. We only get that online, but mainstream media is acting like everything's fine, ‘He seems fine to me.’”
The media are firmly anti-Trump, but for Reid, the fact that it isn’t getting its story ideas from the darkest and weirdest parts of the internet means it isn’t anti-Trump enough. Some people are just never happy.

JOY REID: I mean, and the reality is this is the oldest president we've ever had in our history.
KATIE PHANG: Where's the investigative? Where are the investigative records?
REID: Nothing!
PHANG: One day he slapped this maxi pad on his ear. The next day the ear is totally fine.
REID: Gone. It's fine. And we, and I remember being in mainstream media, where we both used to work, saying, "Isn't it odd that we've never asked for his medical records?"
And I got in trouble for that, right? So, so you're, you're not allowed to even say, Isn't that weird? We have more records. I know more about the attempted Ford assassination, Henry—the President Ford than I do about Donald Trump, and the Gerald Ford thing happened when I was a child, right?
And they put out more information almost immediately. We know almost immediately almost everything about Kennedy's assassination. I know more about McKinley's assassination than I do about this attempted—attempt to assassinate Trump when he was a presidential candidate. We're getting nothing, and the mainstream media isn't demanding his medical records. They're not demanding anything. They're terrified of this man. And now that the people are speculating that he might have died. We only get that online, but mainstream media is acting like everything's fine, “he seems fine to me.”
