NextImg:Dishonest Mediaite Hacks Take Katie Pavlich's Comments Out of Context

The Democrat activists at Mediaite are at it again. This time they deliberately took Townhall editor Katie Pavlich’s comments during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Special Report out of context. This kind of dishonest reporting is why nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mark Levin calls them “Mediocreite.”

Mediaite was betting people would only read their headline which misconstrued what Pavlich said. In the article written by Michael Luciano, the headline read: Fox’s Katie Pavlich Claims Trump’s Attempt To Overturn Election Was ‘A Normal Political Process’.

But that is not what Pavlich meant by it being part of the normal political process. She was talking about the “criminalization of the pursuit of a recount,” and pointed out that requesting recounts is a normal part of the political process. Not that attempting to overturn the results of the election is.

“It does feel like Democrats are allowed to pursue those things while Republicans are now being indicted for what is supposed to be a normal political process,” Pavlich said on the Tuesday night edition of Special Report

Yet, according to Luciano, “Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich characterized Donald Trump’s active effort to overturn the 2020 election as something that “is supposed to be a normal political process.”

Pavlich’s analysis immediately before put into perfect context exactly what she meant:

There are bigger picture questions here about whether these continued indictments amount to the criminalization of the pursuit of a recount. Whether you agree or disagree with the President's pursuit of that. The language that was used and a chilling environment that these indictments create with Republican chairmen across the country or with lawyers who may want to work for Republican campaigns because given the history we’ve seen with Democrats and denying elections and pursuing recounts and maybe doing things differently than laid out in this indictment.

I would also encourage readers to watch the video of Pavlich above and read her remarks in the comments below without Luciano’s spin:

FNC’s Special Report

1 minute 23 seconds

BRET BAIER: Katie, on what happened last night and the fallout from it?

KATIE PAVLICH: There are bigger picture questions here about whether these continued indictments amount to the criminalization of the pursuit of a recount. But it does feel like Democrats are allowed to pursue those things while Republicans are now being indicted for what is supposed to be a normal political process. The bigger question, too, is how it looks for the country to have the number one political opponent of President Joe Biden being repeatedly indicted by political actors like the D.A. in Georgia, and his Department of Justice while they claim to say that they’re independent, while at the same time you have someone like David Weiss now appointed as special counsel who has treated the Hunter Biden case in a way that even the judge in that case said in July was unprecedented. And that's why the plea deal fell apart. And the polling shows people think this is political. So that doesn't seem like very good territory for the country moving forward.
