NextImg:CNN Trashes Hunter's F-Bomb Rant, Promptly Switches To Price Of Beef

Hunter Biden's F-bomb-filled rant in which he attacked numerous Democrats by name was just too juicy for CNN to entirely ignore. But the liberal network clearly didn't want to spend too much time on internecine Dem warfare, particularly when it relates to attempts by Democrats and the liberal media to deceive the American people about Joe Biden's incapacity for office.

Tuesday's CNN This Morning therefore relegated the matter to the end of its 6 am hour, devoted a scant few minutes to it, and then quickly moved [moo-ved?] on to much happier territory for the show: the recent hike in beef prices.

What commentary from the panel there was on Hunter's unhinged tirade was exclusively negative. Show regular Chuck Rocha, a former Bernie Sanders adviser, was particularly incensed. He asked substitute host Erica Hill for the right to talk first, and, given the opportunity, declared:

"I was wound up when I saw that. It made me so mad."

His point was that time spent talking about Biden is time not spent attacking Donald Trump. But Rocha himself added some fuel to the Dem infighting fire:

"Every time somebody named Biden, Clinton, or Obama have [sic] anything to do with the Democratic Party, we're not going to do very good [sic]. It's time for them to go away."

George Clooney was the target of multiple Hunter F-bombs for having written a New York Times op-ed after Biden's debate meltdown calling on him to quit the race. Another show regular, Atlantic writer Jerusalem Demsas, defended Clooney:

"George Clooney showed more integrity than basically anyone in the Biden inner circle when it came to being clear with the American public about what was going on with Biden."

Demsas called out Hunter for "hubris" in caring "more about your own legacy than anything the American people care about." That was in line with Rocha's kvetch that talking about Biden distracts from attacking Trump. Demsas added: "I just find it embarrassing that [Hunter's] even talking in public."

For his part, a smiling Mike Dubke, a former Trump comms director, was content to count the F-bombs that Hunter dropped, adding: "I'm not allowed to say anything about Hunter Biden. I'm just letting it slide." Dubke was heeding the classic advice about not saying anything when your opponents are destroying themselves. Or did CNN's stage managers ask him to not to say much of anything?

Because that was it! Hill was only too happy to promptly move on from Dem woes to something the show could try to pin on President Trump:

"All right, so let's observe the price of beef, shall we? We saw eggs, of course, hitting record highs. Likely you felt it at the grocery store. Now, you may have noticed it with beef. The latest numbers from the Department of Agriculture show beef prices have now spiked by almost 9% since January, above $9 a pound."

Tit-for-tat, CNN style, or shall we say, beef for eggs. What wasn't mentioned during the ensuing segment was that despite the hike in beef prices, the USDA forecasts that for 2025, overall grocery prices will rise by a modest 2.2%

Note: In choosing Andrew Callaghan's podcast as his platform to spew his F-bombs, Hunter seems to have found something of a kindred spirit.

The 28-year-old Callaghan has said that he suffers hallucinogenic flashbacks as a result of his youthful psilocybin use. And in response to charges of sexual misconduct against him, Callaghan pledged to attend therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous.

Here's the transcript.

CNN This Morning
7/22/25
6:50 am EDT

ERICA HILL: Hunter Biden, lashing out at Democrats for turning on his father.

HUNTER BIDEN: George Clooney is not a f***ing actor. He is a f***ing, like, I don't know what he is. He's a brand. James Carville, who hasn't run a race in 40 f***ing years. And David Axelrod, who had one success in his political life, and that was Barack Obama. And that was because of Barack Obama, not because of f***ing David Axelrod.

HILL: Yeah, the F-bomb censor working overtime there. The curse-filled rant from former President Biden's son directed at Democrats, as you just heard there, who went after his father after his disastrous CNN debate performance against Donald Trump.

I know you have strong feelings about this. Perhaps Chuck has the strongest, so I leave you the floor, my friend.

CHUCK ROCHA: Pick me. Three quick things. One, every time I'm having to talk about Hunter Biden, I'm not talking about Donald Trump or the Republicans in Congress cutting 13 million people off of health care.

Every time somebody named Biden, Clinton, or Obama have anything to do with the Democratic Party, we're not going to do very good. It's time for them to go away. We need new leadership.

And the third thing is, I am, this is for you, Hunter Biden, is that all those people that you're talking about, they're still running the party. So you got a long way to go and a lot more f-bombs to give to a lot of people because they ain't going nowhere. How 'bout that this morning? Early. I was wound up when I saw that. It made me so mad.

DEAN: You were. You wanted to talk about that right out of the gate.

MIKE DUBKE: So you're not a Hunter 2028 advocate.

ROCHA: Quit trying to make my eye twitch. Please go to Jerusalem. Please.

JERUSALEM DEMSAS: I, every time I see Hunter Biden talk about anything, and I mean, honestly, like, he calls out George Clooney in there. George Clooney showed more integrity than basically anyone in the Biden inner circle when it came to being clear with the American public about what was going on with Biden.

So the idea that you cannot meet the standard of a Hollywood actor who has no sworn responsibility to the American people. I mean, it's like, and you're on TV yelling at who now?

And it's just, to me, the level of hubris that you have to have to make it about yourself, to make it about your father's legacy, and not about the issues in the country.

Like, you all were saying that Trump was an existential threat to democracy. And the way that you behaved, is to care more about your own legacy than anything the American people care about. And so, to me, I just find it embarrassing that he's even talking in public.

DUBKE: I counted six F-bombs, and seven on the program this morning.

ROCHA: People's grandparents is [sic] watching.

It's very early in the morning for all of that.

HILL: Okay. Noted.

DUBKE: I'm not allowed to say anything about Hunter Biden. I'm just letting it slide. I'm making other observations today.

HILL: All right, so let's observe the price of beef, shall we?

ROCHA: Yes.

HILL: We saw eggs, of course, hitting record highs. Likely you felt it at the grocery store. Now, you may have noticed it with beef. The latest numbers from the Department of Agriculture show beef prices have now spiked by almost 9% since January, above $9 a pound, as you see there.
