Canada’s housing starts fell for a second consecutive month as the country’s construction shortfall continues.

Builders started work on an annualized 240,229 units in April, according to data released Wednesday by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp., in line with expectations of economists in a Bloomberg survey.
