Life has its surprises.

I’ve met a home care nurse several times here in Montreal. Her name was easy to remember: Joan Foster. That’s why my ears perked up one day while I was listening to my favourite radio program, Life Unrehearsed. (If you’re in Montreal, that’s CJAD 800 AM in Montreal, Sunday at 4 p.m. It returns after Labour Day.)

I heard her name and then host Matt Del Vecchio interviewing her. As it turns out, Foster is a home care nurse who gives community talks to senior groups. I was fascinated by some of her home care suggestions and decided to question her further about home care and related topics.
