The annual release of Ontario’s Sunshine List must be a bit discouraging for the province’s MPPs. Each year, more names are added to the list of public sector six-figure earners, while the salaries of those already on the list get larger.

The latest version of the list is out and for the first time there are more than 300,000 people earning over $100,000 in salary from the government. That’s up from 267,000 people in 2022.
