NextImg:Randall Denley: Ontario is paying dearly for falling for Trudeau's 'free' child-care money

When the Doug Ford government signed on to the feds’ $10-a-day child-care plan just over two years ago, it didn’t take a psychic to foresee the problems that would follow.

The low-fee child-care plan was billed as being universal, but despite a commitment of $10.2 billion over five years from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s federal government, there won’t be enough money to serve all the eligible children in Ontario.
