A new study reveals how to spot female psychopaths after researchers observed incarcerated women during clinical interviews.

The word psychopath is thrown around colloquially to describe someone who behaves oddly, erratically or even violently. But psychopathy is, in fact, a disorder. It is “characterized by personality traits that include reduced empathy and remorse, a bold and daring personality, and difficulty inhibiting behaviors [sic],” according to Psychopathy Is, an organization advocating for treatment for people with the disorder based in the United States.
