When a city is home to more than 26,000 high-rises, as is the case in Toronto, new towers garner relatively little attention. But in a fast-growing town like Newmarket, where only eight such structures exist, Kingsley Square’s two new 15-storey condo buildings are turning heads.
Developed by Briarwood Development Group and designed by Kohn Partnership Architects, the notably prominent project under construction at 693-713 Davis Drive was designed to enhance the busy streetscape “from both functional and visual perspectives,” according to Kohn partner Andrew Muffitt. “A central feature is the outdoor square, framed by retail and amenity spaces, creating an animated urban environment that fosters a public-private relationship between passersby and residents.”
