Columbia University in New York City has moved its classes online after anti-Israel protests over the weekend led to a lockdown on campus and resulted in more than 100 arrests.

For months, tensions have been boiling on campus between pro-Israel and anti-Israel protesters, and the university has found itself at the centre of ongoing congressional hearings over antisemitism on campus.
